Miroslav Janíček

I am a researcher in the Talking Robots group in the Language Technology lab at DFKI Saarbrücken, working on context- and user-sensitive spoken language comprehension and production in human-robot interaction under the supervision of Dr. Geert-Jan Kruijff. Currently my research is funded by the EU FP7 project NIFTi (urban search-and-rescue robotics).

Previously I was a Master's student in EM LCT (Erasmus Mundus in Programme in Language and Communication Technologies). I did my BSc and the first year of the LCT programme at Charles University in Prague, and the rest in Saarbrücken at the Department of Computational Linguistics and Phonetics.

Research interests

I am interested in natural language semantics and pragmatics, their computational modelling and processing, geared towards the development of practical spoken language human-computer and human-robot interfaces.
