Opening of the Intel Visual Computing Institute at Saarland University
On Tuesday, May 12, 2009, the opening of the Intel Visual Computing Institute at Saarland University was celebrated. The event took place at 10:00 am in the Aula (building A3.3) on university campus in Saarbrücken.
Visual Computing is advancing the hardware and software industry and plays a key role in business and research.
It covers the research topics of analysis, transmission and visualisation of visual and other information.
The new research institute combines the world-wide unique skills of Saarbrücken Computer Science and Intel, from fundamental research to applications.
