Media: "CoSy" first-year review meeting
The first-year review meeting of the "CoSy" project took place at DFKI (Saarbrücken, Germany) on Monday November 14, 2005. To present various aspects of the integrated architectures we developed during the first period, we created several movies to illustrate human-augmented mapping (the Explorer scenario - interactive spatial exploration) and interaction about a local visual scene (the PlayMate scenario - object manipulation). All the movies are provided in Apple Quicktime format.
Explorer

- "Follow me. This is the hallway." [00'36/755KB]
Basic people following behavior. Supervised learning of area description. - "Go to the hall." [00'40/925KB]
Basic navigation. - "No. We are in the hall." [00'28/684KB]
Correction by the robot. (The robot does not perceive the transition from hall to corridor.) - "We are in the door." [01'10/1.4MB]
Automatic area classification the robot. The human corrects the robot. - "Where are you?" [00'29/872KB]
Basic locative questions. - "Is there a door here?" [02'10/2.8MB]
Mixed-initiative: Robot-initiated verification questions.
"PlayMate"/Object manipulation

- "The cow is to the left of the pink pig." [03'49/13.1MB]
Talking about projective spatial relations between objects in a visual scene. - "The black cow is near the brown horse." [01'45/6MB]
Talking about topological spatial relations between objects in a visual scene.
