The FLUIDS
WWW offerings comprise many important features, including
the following highlights:
- Selected parts from the project proposal provide a general
description of the FLUIDS
project;
- Demonstrations of the multimedia interfaces of
the three FLUIDS prototypes for the test sites in Barcelona and
Turin can be operated over the Web using pre-selected problem
scenarios.
The multimedia interface of the
first FLUIDS
demonstrator as well as an initial version of the
interface for the public transport sample
application
are also available on-line.
Separate documents which have been prepared for the
project reviews in
1996
,
1997
,
and
1999
provide some additional information concerning these
demonstrators;
- The Technology Watch section captures
recent progress in the research areas to be addressed in
FLUIDS
.
This section is continously expanded with the latest news
from the monthly FLUIDS Bulletin;
- FLUIDS
is tightly integrated into
LIDOS
(Literature Information and
Documentation System),
which provides the necessary means to build up a small digital
library of relevant publications in the general area of
intelligent user interfaces.
All bibliographic data to be used for the Technology Watch
activity and within other online publications of the
FLUIDS
project will be enhanced with hyperlinks to related
electronic information (see for example the
bibliography section of this document);
- Many documents prepared within the FLUIDS
project are
available for online viewing or download at
FLUIDS
' digital library;
- The FLUIDS
project maintains a
shared workspace where interested
visitors may contribute messages, hypertext links, or even
complete documents;
- The section on
``Useful Software and other Tools''
collects documentation and general information for many basic
tools that are employed in the FLUIDS
project;
- A sophisticated search facility allows
fast access to specific information.
