Searching the Bibliographic Databases

LIDOS aims to provide easier access to bibliographic data and associated on-line information. This document provides a search interface for the BibTeX database as well as the PBIR database, a collection of Persistent Bibliographic Information Records (PBIR) covering on-line information.

The large BibTeX database contains several thousands of bibliographic entries covering research in Artificial Intelligence and related fields.

The BibTeX search is performed with Jeff Erickson's biblook program and the search results are presented using an adopted version of Andy Wood's bibmarkup Perl script. Some documentation about making queries with biblook is available. Please note that query processing may require up to one minute of retrieval time.

All Persistent Bibliographic Information Records are stored as separate documents in HTML format. These - as well as the HTML versions of the BibTeX database files - may be accessed using our local Excite for Web Servers search engine. Documentation about making queries is available.

Enter concept or keywords you wish to find information about.

Useful External Search Engines

The search form below uses the system IBIS (Informatik Bibliotheken in Saarbrücken) to search the three computer science libraries (Computer Science Department, DFKI, and Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik) located on our site here in Saarbrücken. Documentation about making queries is available.

The Collection of Computer Science Bibliographies maintained at the Universität Karlsruhe constitutes the best non-comercial on-line database of scientific literature from all areas of computer science. The BibTeX database of LIDOS will also be submitted to this repository as soon as all data files have been checked.
The collection may be searched using the form below. Documentation about making queries is available.
