Abstract
We investigate the capability of the Reference Model for Intelligent
Multimedia Presentation Systems to support the real-time generation
and error recovery strategies of graphics generated video and audio
streams. The requirements to be satisfied are derived from the
lip-synchronization protocol that is used in the paper as a
characterization of a class of potential applications.
