This paper describes an extension for finite-state based dialogue manager to enable support for multi-threaded conversations. While embedded dialogue threads are very common, multi-threaded dialogues are rarely supported by current dialogue managers. The dialogue manager presented in this paper is based on an extended finite-state model. The dialogue manager was evaluated through user experiments. The results of the evaluation show that the dialogue manager performs very well in dialogue thread selection. However, parts of the selection algorithm heavily rely on the results of the natural language understanding component.
