This year's workshop days on "Learning, Knowledge Discovery, and Adaptivity" will allow you to gain an in-depth insight into recent trends, techniques, and applications in an informal atmosphere. There will be a total of three workshops organized by the GI Working Groups FGML (Machine Learning, Knowledge Discovery, Data Mining), AKKD (Knowledge Discovery), and ABIS (Adaptivity and User Modeling in Interactive Software Systems).
Since 1999, LWA has established itself as a common forum of various GI Working Groups. Joint sessions of the workshops as well as plenty of opportunity for social get-togethers will stimulate interaction and exchange among the various Working Groups and workshop attendees.
LWA is a forum for the exchange of ideas for a variety of target groups, including representants from universities as well as from industry, members of research groups and in particular researchers who just started working in their area.
We would like to stress the fact that LWA cordially welcomes students and colleagues from other countries - this is not necessarily an all-German meeting. In fact, many presentations as well as the proceedings will be in English.
