I am looking for an explanation of what "demiphone" means. 
I have not been able to find it on Wikipedia.

Let's take an example:

h E l o 
would be made up from
h_L h_R
E_L E_R
l_L l_R
o_L o_R

would 
h_R + E_L 
be a demiphone?
