[mary-users] What is a HMM voice/ Which aligner for Turkish?

Hello!

I have two questions: 

1) I am still not sure what the difference between an HMM voice and a "normal" voice is. I did not find any information about it on your website or on any search machine. Could you explain it for laymen, please?

2) Do you know how the Turkish voice for OpenMary was auto-aligned? I was not able to find any aligner for Turkish voices yet.
