[mary-users] Using mary in a desktop application.

Hi. I already wrapped freetts for my book reader, project, but i see
that mary is moving forward while freetts is not (and has HMM
synthesis to boot), so i'd like to switch. My question is this:
1) Is mary pure java?
2) Does mary offer an api that is not client-server based? (can always
fake it i guess)
3) Can mary output the sound to a real sound device (instead of mp3
files or whatever).

I guess that's it.
