Hi Marc,

Yes. That was the problem. Apparently the file (README.usingEclipse.txt)
that comes bundled with May 4.3.1 is outdated. I was able to locate the
correct instructions, which you also pointed out from here:
http://mary.opendfki.de/wiki/Eclipse

Now, MARY TTS builds and runs. However, when I run it, the following is
observed at the Console in Eclipse:

2012-02-22 16:00:19,955 [main] INFO  marytts.main Startup complete.
 started in 2.832 s
2012-02-22 16:00:19,960 [main] INFO  marytts.server Starting server.
2012-02-22 16:00:19,978 [main] INFO  marytts.server Waiting for client to
connect on port 59125

When I try to connect locally to port 59125 through my web browser like so:
http://localhost:59125
I am unable to do so.

Where am I going wrong?

Any help is most welcome.
