[mary-users] French language

Hi,

A few weeks ago, Elisabeth Pinto (a phonetician expert) and I have been working to produce a language and a voice for French using Mary 5.1.
We noticed that the file  allophones.fr.xml provided with the Dennys’ French voice provided with Mary 4.3 http://bugle.enst.fr/download/french-mary/  was missing the sampa 'N' french phoneme
which appears in French for frequent words like bingo, camping, parking, ping-pong.

As far as I know it seems that since October the file marytts-lang-fr/lib/modules/fr/lexicon/allophones.fr.xml is available on  https://github.com/marytts/marytts
and is also suffering from the same lack.
The lexicon file marytts-lang-fr/lib/modules/fr/lexicon/fr.txt  contains the also the words :
                bingo 'bin-go
                camping 'ka~-ping
                parking 'paR-king
                ping-pong 'pin-gpo~g
which would have the right pronunciation using the phoneme 'N'.

So in a future version of allophones.fr.xml  we suggest to add the following line :

<consonant ph="N" ctype="n" cplace="v" cvox="+"/> <!--  sampa:'N'   camping 'ka~-piN  /  bingo 'biN-go  / parking 'paR-kiN  / ping-pong 'piN-po~g  -->
