<p class="inbox-inbox-p1">I’d appreciate some advice on how to go about building post-lexical rules for inter-word phoneme replacement. </p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">An example in English where this is important might be:<br><br>" the apple" - it is more commonly pronounced / D i ' { - p @ l /</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">instead of / D @ ' { - p @ /</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">"The door" would be an example of needing / D @ d O /</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">Using just the lexicon we can only (I believe) enter one pronunciation for that word and part of speech.</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">I'd love to add better handling for this and other cases, so I would appreciate any suggestions, or code snippets if they're available.</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">Thank you!</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1">David</p><p class="inbox-inbox-p1"><br></p></div>
