I had a good talk with Jakob and we came up this the following schema.
 
all ruby scripts which are gui related go into:
/vizkit/ruby/lib
/vizkit/ruby/lib/widgets
/vizkit/ruby/lib/cplusplus_extensions
ruby namespace Vizkit

all c++ qt designer widgets which have no dependencies to rock go into
one dedicated repository.

all other c++ widgets or plug-ins for the visualization go into 
/vizkit/src/plugins/
/vizkit/src/widgets/
c++ namespace vizkit
