[Rock-dev] Error: undefined symbol in base_types_ext.so

if you are getting the error undefined symbol in base_types_ext.so
just got to base/types_ruby/ext/
and call "make clean" and make

I am not sure what cases the error (I know it is related to rake and
change detection) but we should think about a mechanism to force build
some packages or to print some messages, because a lot of people run
into this problem.
