 the call "Orocos::TaskContext.reachable? task_name"
 results in the following error if Orocos.initialize was not called:

 omniORB: ERROR -- the application attempted to invoke an operation
  on a nil reference.

 --> A better error message would be helpful
 something like "Orocos.initialize was not called therefore CORBA is not
 available!"
