 The current implementation of stream.seek(time) in pocolog does not handle
 seek calls which are very close to the current position in an efficient
 way.

 solution: check if the current position in the stream is closer to the
 given time
 than the closest one in the index file.

 this would speed up the StreamAligner which is calling seek in sequence
