 fd_driven enables needs_configuration while default_activity :fd_driven
 does not. So, in the first case you need to call #configure while in the
 second you don't.

 Now, while fd_driven tasks had to use configureHook before, that's not the
 case anymore. So we could remove the needs_configuration. Unfortunately,
 it would break a lot of components ...

 I'm not sure what's best there ...
