[Rock-dev] Vizkit: howto connect an member of an port to an gui

I tried the following

Vizkit.connect_port_to 
"audio_reader","stereo_output.left_channel.",gui.raw, :pull => true

where gui.raw is an plot2d the problem is that 
stereo_output.left_channel is an member of an port, not sure whether 
it's an bugg, an nice enchacement (that should be done), or whatever.
What's the best way to solve/do this?
