Ahhh ... And what is gps.rb exactly ? I might have mistaken it for 
another script ;-)

In any case, if it is a library, then it should go into its own package. 
Or maybe just be installed by a corresponding package (in this case, 
drivers/gps could install it)

But definitely not base/scripts ...
