 Currently the transformer only allows to specify callbacks for data ports.
 There are use cases however, when the module update should be synchronised
 to (specific) inputs of the dynamic_transformation port instead to a data
 port.
 It would be good to allow such alignments, to prevent having to use
 additional ports
 as pure synchronisation ports.
