Also, I help maintaining the ROS ecosystem tools rosws/rosinstall, and
if possible would like to
share syntax or even code with the rock packaging system.

rosws/rosinstall use yaml files similar to rock source.yml to specify
version control system sources,
but the yaml syntax in ROS needs refactoring anyway, so I am curious
about the way rock does things and I
will do the rock tutorials to get a better idea. Just letting you know.
