 For live systems, the displays should be "cleared" when the port reports
 NoData (NOT OldData). The same mechanism could be used to clear displays
 during log replay when seeking at a time where there has never been any
 data on the port. We could even log when the logger gets NoData on the
 logged port (to have a consistent live/replay display)

 The underlying reason is that, in log replay, if I seek to a point where
 there is no data, I end up having "whatever sample", which is extremely
 confusing (and makes creating videos pretty hard)
