Comment (by traveler.hauptman):

Ok! autoproj build completes successfully and I have rock-create-lib
available. Thanks for your help; I'll issue pull requests for the updated
 osdeps files when I can.

One last question: How does binary package deployment work for rock? If I
have a fleet of robots I don't want to be doing autoproj build on each
 one...
Is there a method for installing groups of packages into the system
 directories?
 Can I do something like {{{make DESTDIR="$pkgdir/" install}}} so that I
can redirect to a packaging directory?
Does autoproj check for system installed dependency packages before
 downloading and building from source?

In the end it would be nice to create a single archlinux package that
captures the rock minimal system. Less ideal would be a meta-package that
 installs all the individual packages.
