Comment:

 It seemed very unlikely to me given that most Rock tasks are port driven
 (we would probably have caught the problem ...), but for the sake of this
 report I created a simple orogen project that does exactly what you
 describe. It works fine (I attached the project as bla.tar.bz2, simply
 build it and run the included scripts/test.rb file)

 I would suggest that you contact rock-dev with the symptoms of your
 problem.
