Knowledge represents the intellectual principal of any corporation. Its organization, structure and communication are essential for economic success, customer relations, and strategic planning.

Directed by Prof. Dr. Andreas Dengel, the Knowledge Management Department develops technologies that allow to prepare, update, allocate, store and communicate information, data and knowledge precisely and systematically. Our objective is to develop automated personal knowledge assistants that support the configuration of workflows as well as pro-actively provide relevant information in any setting.

Our research topics are reflected in four Competence Centers:

• Competence Center Semantic Web
• Competence Center Virtual Office of the Future

Our services include application-oriented fundamental research, problem-oriented, tailor-made application development, realization of pilot studies,feasibility studies and consulting.
