Numerous colleagues and projects of our laboratory have received prices as prestigious as the DAS Achievment Award and the Innovationspreis of Rheinland-Pfalz. In 2004, Professor Dengel was named  fellow of the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR).

Several spin-offs account for the solidity and quality of our research. Originally emanated from research projects, many of them offer highly specialized services and it-products and manage to perform successfully in a competitive environment since years.
