Research Interests:

- Speech signal processing and speech technology applications in general.
- Speech synthesis, in particular parametric speech synthesis using HMMs based on HTS and HTK in the context of  MARY TTS.
- Developing of HMM-based voices for MARY TTS.
- Prosody and voice quality analysis/synthesis of vocal social signals in the context of SSPNet project.
- Machine learning approaches for analysis/synthesis of speech signals.
- Speech recognition, working with HTK and commercial sw.
- Speech recognition using microphone arrays, at LSV I have implemented a speech recognition system for microphone arrays based on the HTK-Toolkit and the Maximum Likelihood Beamforming approach.
- Spoken language dialogue systems, I have participated in the development of:
   - a dialogue system for using in car in the EU-project VICO-project.
   - a multimodal interactive dialogue system that enables communication between a human and an animated character, conversational H.C. Andersen, in the EU-project NICE.
