Welcome to the homepage of David Vilar Torres, researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI)
Before joining the DFKI in January 2011, I was a a PhD-student at the Chair of Computer Science VI of the RWTH Aachen University. My research interests are statistical machine translation, natural language processing and pattern recognition.
I am author of Jane, RWTH’s open-source hierarchical phrase-based translation toolkit, free for non-commercial use.
