 Some general information on

The SIG meetings will be held in three closely co-located buildings on the campus of the Saarland University where also the DFKI site resides.
This campus is situated in a wooded area outside the city centre of Saarbrücken; the city of  Saarbrücken, the 1000 year old capital of the Saarland region, has around 0.2 million inhabitants and a few attractive features, in particular its geographical closeness to France, which is reflected in the Saarbrücken culture and cuisine.

MPI = Max-Planck-Institute for Computer Science
DFKI = Building 36.1 on campus
HS  = Lecture room
SR = Seminar room (ca. 15 people)

All lecture and seminar rooms in the CSF and MPI building are on 1st floor,
the room R 4.07 is located in the DFKI building on the 5th floor.

   SOCIAL EVENTS
 

Lunch:
Due to the fact that the meeting venue is located outside the city centre
it is recommended to take lunch at the University Mensa or two other restaurants on campus.


  PARTICIPATION

Participation is ** ON INVITATION ONLY **, that is, participation has to be confirmed by both the chair of the considered meeting and the participant.
 

   TRAVEL FUNDING

If you have been notified for being funded by AgentLink please note:

  1. Send your completed expense claim form to AgentLink til MARCH 13, 2000 at the very latest.
  2. Please try to stay within an upper limit of 500 Euro per claim submitted.
  3. Please try to meet the costs of your attendance from alternative sources (such as other project funds) *if at all possible*.

For each of the SIG meeting funding is possible for up to 15 persons according to following constraints

AgentLink (AL) will fund a *maximum* of one person from each AL member node to attend *each* SIG meeting, provided that these people are *actively participating* (e.g. by presenting something). Note that travel support will *only* be available to AL members actively participating in the SIG: you may check the members list here
 

   ACCOMODATION

To date (February 15) almost all hotels in Saarbrucekn downtown are fully booked. Deadlines for block reservations made for AgentLink meetings have been passed (January 31 and February 13). Additional block reservations where possible but valid ONLY until THURSDAY, Feb 17 noon latest in the following hotels. PLEASE let me know immediately if I should make a reservation for you in one of them:
