iGNSSMM - Past
How it started
iGNSSMM started at the end of 2009 as a pure research project by Sven Schmeier and Günter Neumann. During that time we devloped the whole system using different techniques like:
- Objective-C and Cocoa Touch on the client side
- PHP and Apache as Webservice.
- Java and Lisp for the core functions
Furthermore we published our work from time to time. We showed our system at The 49th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics: Human Language Technologies in Portland(OR) and at the HCI International 2011 in Orlando(FL). We furthermore will publish parts of our research in the book "Multi-source, Multilingual Information Extraction and Summarization" which will probably published in December 2011.
iGNSSMM - Future
What comes next
We plan to use the first results of our research in two directions. On the one hand we want to stay scientific. This means we want to realize new ideas, phantasies and even irrational things (were most people would say: You crazy boys, this will never work) without having to ask someone else. This will be the source of our future inventions.
We furthermore want to use the system in concrete projects, adapt it to the needs of the customers and get some feedback from people.
