Jana Koehler is CEO of the DFKI and holds the chair of Artificial Intelligence at Saarland University. Koehler studied Computer Science and Philosophy of Science at Humboldt University in Berlin and earned her doctorate at Saarland University. From 1990 to 1996 she worked at the DFKI and subsequently habilitated at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg. She also worked for Schindler AG and IBM Research Zurich. From 2010 to early 2019, she was Professor of Computer Science at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Her research interests focus on AI methods for flexible and optimized processes in manufacturing and business.
