The Test Center for Maritime Technologies on Helgoland is led by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM together with the Robotics Innovation Center of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). In the offshore test field with up to 45 meters water depth, it is possible to test materials, components and complete systems, designed for the offshore use under realistic environmental conditions and with support from scientific experts.
