Virtual reality in physiotherapeutic and psychotherapeutic pain therapy

Virtual reality in physiotherapeutic and psychotherapeutic pain therapy

  • Duration:

The aim of the ViRST project is to make virtual reality technologies usable for pain therapies. The necessary sensor technology is designed and implemented as a demonstrator. Movement and language are to be used as interaction modalities. The project combines hardware solutions (playback devices and sensors) available on the market, develops corresponding software solutions for controlling and implements therapeutic content for the treatment of pain using gamification approaches in virtual realities. The solutions are evaluated and further developed with the help of the users.
