Text and spoken language generation as well as multimedia systems are among the areas of interest.

* 7th Mini EURO:

The 7th Mini Conference organized by EURO , the Association of European Operational Research Societies, is devoted to the specific topic of decision support systems, groupware, multimedia and electronic commerce. The conference will present some new research papers as well as applied papers from all areas of virtual reality.

International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces, Orlando, Florida, USA, January 6-9, 1997.
The 1997 IUI meeting is the third in a series of gatherings of the intelligent interfaces community. The series will now become a biennial conference and will provide a major forum for outstanding research and development on all aspects of intelligent interfaces.

This conference included some presentations related to user modeling and intelligent user interfaces in general.

* ABIS-96:
4th German Workshop on Adaptivity and User Modeling in Interactive Software Systems, Dortmund, Germany, October 9-11, 1996.
The workshops in this series are specifically concerned with theoretical and pratical aspects of user modeling. The conference language is German.
