I cloned everything from home and autoproj fall back to http because of
a not responding gitorious server. In total it took around 30 minutes to
clone the basic rock stack (I have a 32 MBits/sec Internet connection).

It does not matter if the zip file is old because autoproj can update
the stack after it was unpacked. But I agree we do not really have a
place for the zip file.
