 utilrb depends on rake-compiler which needs RubyGems version >= 1.8.25 for
 its newest version. Unfortunately, this is not part of the ubuntu 12.10
 packages and cannot easily be updated.

 A fix would be to force "rake-compiler --version=0.8.2" on Ubuntu 12.10
 and below.
