This is currently not possible, no. The issue is that it would then be 
impossible to decide which ROS message to use when publishing the Rock type.

As a workaround, you could create an empty subclass of the Rock type. It 
would "only" make the rock interface uglier (you would have two 
different types where only one would be needed).
