I am more than happy that you invest quite a bit of your time in maintaining the framework. The problem is more on our side that. I did not even know that we have these kind of issues until today but I guess there are people which could have discussed it on the mailing list ;-).

autoproj is changing the package set rock.toolchain to rock.toolchain.DEPRECATED which is at the end rock.core but does not import the package set rock which is specified in rock.core. Therefore all packages specified in rock ( rock-package_set) are no longer known to autoproj
