Organization committee

Three different laboratories will be involved in the organization of the workshop, in which there is a research activity in language processing: IRIT (computer science, the main center), University of social sciences (activities in information retrieval and text mining), and University of le Mirail (humanities): activities in semantics of language and terminology. IRIT will manage the organization and will delegate part of it to the other 2 laboratories. All the members of the organizing committee are involved in language processing, a number of which have published at ACL, EACL or Coling.

The staff involved in the organization will be (P= professor or associate prof., CNRS= CNRS full time researcher):

We will have also the temporary help of the technical staff of our universities and of about 6 to 10 students.

Most of these people have a good experience in conference and workshop organization, among which:
Josiane Mothe, Chantal Soulé Dupuy, Mohand Boughanem, Christine Julien: BDA, Inforsid, RIAO (Montréal),
P. Saint-Dizier: NLULP (2 workshops), Lexical semantics (2), EWNLG99.
Mouna Kamel: International conf. on Statistics.
Myriam Bras, Laure Vieu: 3 workshops on Time, Space and Movement.
Anne Condamines and Didier Bourigault: TIA 97 (terminology and AI).
