Ermed In ERmed, we entered the augmented and mixed reality realm, thereby combining multiple input and output modalities (2012-2014). We provided a new fundation for managing dynamic content by combining optical see-through head-mounted displays with eye trackers.
THESEUS & MEDICO Radspeech We implement a situation-aware dialogue shell for semantic access to media and services (2007-2012). Also see BMWi Research Programme THESEUS or Student Research Opportunities. Radspeech's main contrubution: interactive knowledge discovery and acquisiton in medical data (images, texts). See the SmartWeb-THESEUS book/monography.
SmartWeb Multimodal Dialogue-Based Access to the Semantic Web (2004-2007): I was responsible for the dialogue reaction and presentation design/implementation, as well as SmartWeb's mobile interface design.
SMARTVIEW (internal) SMARTVIEW - DaimlerChrysler Research / DaimlerChrysler Bank: We developed this software to visualise data relations and background data in an interactive environment (Visual Data Mining). (2004)
GRAPA (internal) GRAPA - DaimlerChrysler Research (RIC/AM Information Mining): The tool loads relations from databases and visualises their structure with a graphical interface and automatic graph layouts. The tool I developed used an underlying graph visualisation platform. Graph algorithms are additionally used to highlight relationships. (2003)
MuchMore Information organisation and access for the medical domain: I contributed to the combination of statistical and knowledge-based methods for information and knowledge extraction using MESH and ULMS concept hierarchies. (2002-2003)
Information Minder I was working on language resources, FSA compression, multi-word unit extraction, and rule-based machine learners. (2000-2002)
Olive A Multilingual Indexing Tool for Broadcast Material Based on Speech Recognition I ported, merged, and maintained the lexical and morphological resource databases (Mmorph and Sardic). (1998-2000)
