6 Flow of Information in the RM

In the previous sections not much has been said about the flow of information in the RM, including control, knowledge, and intermediate representations employed during the generation process. The reason for omitting such details is that the current RM is not intended to promote a particular processing model. As the builder of an actual IMMPS may have reasonable arguments for choosing this or that particular architecture, we only can point to the dependencies which exist between layers and components in the RM, and remind system builders that they have to consider them, too, whatever processing model they may adopt.
