New European Center of Excellence for Industrial Robotics and Artificial Intelligence - RICAIP

RICAIP will lay the foundation for an entirely new EU research infrastructure for advanced industrial production, where the project coordinator CIIRC CTU and other strong partners such as VUT-CEITEC, ZeMA and DFKI will form a geographically dispersed network of experimental and test industry facilities.

Celebrating the launch of RICAIP at the Hannover Messe, l.-.r.: Dr. Silke Balzert-Walter (CLAIRE, DFKI), Prof. Dr. Philipp Slusallek (CLAIRE, DFKI), Prof. Dr. Jana Koehler (CEO DFKI), Dr. Vit Dockal (CIIRC CTU), Dr. Anselm Blocher (Power4Production, DFKI), Dr. Pavel Burget (CIIRC CTU, Head of Industrie 4.0 testbed).

After more than two years of preparation and a demanding multi-round evaluation, the Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) at the Czech Technical University in Prague has won the European RICAIP project (Research and Innovation Centre on Advanced Industrial Production). RICAIP, a European Center of Excellence for Industrial Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, is being set up there with a start-up support of almost 50 million euros.
