Transferlabs@DFKI

Successful knowledge and technology transfer from the research ecosystem

The Transfer Labs concept, which has been successfully established at DFKI, involves integrating employees from partner organizations into DFKI's research teams. The partners send staff to DFKI, where they work within the “ecosystem” of the research areas. In DFKI's secure data room, concrete solutions and products are designed for the partner and developed in close alignment with scientific progress. Direct contact with the AI research community expands the expertise of the personnel. Conversely, DFKI scientists gain valuable insights into the respective industries and their needs. At the same time, the transfer labs can be used – with the support of DFKI – to attract new skilled workers.
