By car from Mannheim 

Leave the freeway at the exit towards “Kaiserslautern Centrum”. At the intersection turn left into Donnersbergstraße. At the next intersection, continue straight on to the intersection Entersweilerstraße. Now turn right and follow the Entersweilerstraße into the Barbarossastraße. Turn left at the traffic light crossing at Eisenbahnstraße, cross the railroad underpass and take the first exit of the roundabout into Zollamtstraße. Follow this road and after about one kilometer, after the gas station, turn half-left into Trippstadter Straße. The DFKI building appears after about 800 ms on the right side. Destination: Trippstadter Straße 122, vis-à-vis Gerhard-Hauptmann-Straße.

By car from Saarbrücken:

Leave the freeway A6 at the exit towards ”Kaiserslautern West”. Continue along B270 by following the sign “Universität” and turn right directly after crossing the bridge. Follow the B40 for about 2 km (you pass 2 traffic lights). Then turn right into Brandenburger Straße towards Stadtmitte/ Universität. Continue along Brandenburger Straße until you turn right into Trippstadter Straße. The DFKI building appears after about 800 ms on the right side. Destination: Trippstadter Straße 122, vis-à-vis Gerhard-Hauptmann-Straße.

From the direction of Koblenz, Saarbrücken, Pirmasens
Take the A1 motorway to “Autobahndreieck Moseltal”, continue on the A602 towards Trier. Shortly before the end of the motorway, turn right and keep left onto the traffic circle. Follow the signs to the university (Campus II/Wissenschaftspark).

Coming from Aachen, Liège, Prüm
Coming from the A 60, take the A1 towards Trier at the “Autobahnkreuz Wittlich”. Continue as described in the text in the direction of Koblenz ...
Alternatively: A 60 exit Staffelstein/Bitburg and continue on B 51 past Bitburg to Trier.

From Luxembourg
Coming from A 64, exit Trier/Bitburg in the direction of Trier on B 51.
Alternatively via border crossing “Wasserbillig/Wasserbilligerbrück” and continue on B 49 via Igel and Zewen to Trier.

From Konz, Saarburg
Take the L 137 to Konz, after the traffic circle take the B 419 towards Trier.

From City centre
Coming from the city centre, follow the signs in the direction of “Universität”. At the traffic circle on “Kohlenstraße”, take the exit “Campus II/Wissenschaftspark”. Follow the signs to “Campus II”. If you are coming via Olewig, follow the university signs, then pass the university in the direction of “Wissenschaftspark (Stadtmitte)" and follow the signs to “Campus II”. Free parking is available at Campus II directly in front of the university building.

By train to Trier Hbf, from Trier station continue by taxi (about 10 minutes) or by bus.

• Line 4 (direction Irsch): during the day every half hour, stop “Universität Campus 2”.
• Line 3 (direction Tarforst/Kürenz): during the day every ten minutes, stop “Bonifatiusstraße”, ten minutes on foot
• Line 83 (direction Tarforst): early in the morning, in the evening & on weekends every half hour, stop “Bonifatiusstraße”, ten minutes on foot
• Line 88 (direction Pluwig/Bonerath): early in the morning, in the evening & on weekends every half hour, stop “Behringstraße”.
