Prof Antonio Krüger at GITEX EUROPE: 'European AI is viable for the future'

Professor Antonio Krüger was a guest at GITEX EUROPE, one of Berlin's leading tech and start-up events. He discussed the role that AI plays in Europe's competitiveness alongside JP Feidner (Equinix), Alexander S. Gerfer (Würth Elektronik Group) and Ludwig von Reiche (NVIDIA), under the title 'Innovation, Infrastructure and Trade: How AI is Redefining Europe's Global Competitiveness'.

Krüger advocated a culture of open innovation in Europe, as well as the expansion of technological sovereignty, which he said could be achieved through increased investment. He also emphasised that Europe's approach to trustworthy and sustainable AI offers a competitive advantage, as it is based on ethical principles, transparency, and social acceptance from the outset. Companies focusing on trustworthy and sustainable AI would benefit from regulatory certainty and growing international demand for responsible AI, thereby securing a competitive edge in the global digital economy.
