MYOW - Make your own wearables

The goal of the joint project "MYOW - Make your Own Wearables" is to bring together designers, makers, service providers and manufacturers to develop personalized wearables in a digital service space. The service space to be developed will offer individual services for the combination and networking of sensors, devices and textiles, which can be flexibly combined to form a service chain. Business models developed in the project not only regulate co-productions, but also support the expansion of the providers' range of services and thus enable the creation of new products as well as the leap from private "DIY making" to company foundation. DFKI InTex (InTex) supports MYOW with its expertise in the field of intelligent textiles and human-machine interactions. The aim of InTex is to define and test recyclable electrotextile-compatible modules and software function modules within MYOW that are suitable for the rapid user-oriented development of smart textiles. The focus is on a participative methodology that involves future users as active participants in the development process.
