Abstract

5G is the new generation of mobile communication and many scientists are doing research on it. Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) has been proposed to be a core function in 5G. And the intention is that NWDAF does different analysis tasks on the network data in order to improve the network functionalities and also the third-party applications. Data Science is a field of science which has gained great attention in the last years due to the rising amount of generated data and the necessity to extract information from it. Condition monitoring is an approach to maintain the machinery in industry and especially in the past years using AI/ML methods, scientists could achieve a lot in this field. In this paper we first discuss all the above mentioned topics in more detail, then we propose a data analysis platform using NWDAF in a smart factory scenario. The idea is to apply condition monitoring on the machines’ status which are connected via the 6G network.
