Abstract

Vocal synthesis of emotion is the generation of emotionally expressive utterances by a computer program. Two main types can be distinguished: (i) generation of expressive speech, where the emotional expression accompanies a verbal spoken utterance, and (ii) generation of non-verbal vocalisations.
